This week’s Spotlight of the Week is the Thankful Flourishes set. It comes in both clear and cling rubber. This set is great for Thank You cards like the one I have below but I also wanted to show how to use the set in a different way. But first details about the card.
I did a simple clean one layer card using 5 of the images from the set. The flowers were colored with watercolor crayons. Added some dimension to the card by popping up just the big flowers and adding a ribbon up in the corner. “Thankful Thoughts” is just one of the 3 sentiments that comes with the set.
So you like the set but not into making cards that much? No problem….. how about…. A Scrapbook page?? I made this sweet 12×12 page using only the big flower and medium size flower from the set. But this time instead of coloring them in, I stamped right onto Scribble Scrabble papers and cut them out. I wanted them to have different dimensions on the page so I layered them using liquid scrap dots. To frame the main picture even more, I stamped of the medium flower on the same color and added them to the corners of the picture.
Close up of one of the flower corners:

Just a little bit about the pictures: My mom took them of my daughter, Jorden, and my niece, Leah. I used Photoshop to turn them to black and white as I wanted the flowers to stand out more. My daughter, Jorden, is the one with the curly hair. They are best friends and are only 7 months apart (Jorden is younger) BUT in this picture they are the same age (3 yrs) as Leah’s birthday was the next day.

So there you have it. Two totally different ways to use Thankful Flourishes. Thanks for stopping by to see the Spotlight of the Week and don’t forget to come back during the week to see what else is made with Thankful Flourishes from some of the other girls.
I love how the flowers look on the dp, I’m definitely going to have to try that look!
