Is it Spring yet??

Hello, everyone!  It’s Broni here and although the winter hasn’t been as cold as usual (for us here in the South), I still find myself asking “Is it Spring yet?”

I was browsing some of the OCL design team blogs and found some gorgeous springtime inspiration!  Here are a few for your viewing pleasure:

From Deb Felts, springtime thoughts of gardening using Growing With Granny:

How about a springtime bicycle ride from our dear DT coordinator, Kendra Wietstock, using Out for a Spin:

Here’s a gorgeous springtime butterfly card from our very own Tammie Edgerton, using Nature’s Note:

And finally here’s one from me, making me want to go out and play!  Using Swingin’ By:

So, now are you ready for some warm springtime weather?  Hopefully, it won’t be long!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Happy crafting!

If friends were flowers…

Happy Monday, OCL friends ♥  I’m back and happy to share my 4th project as the January Artist of the Month!  I whipped up a card using two go-to OCL sets, Say It With Flowers and Pretty Petals, and some beautiful Very Cherry Red Sparkly Fluff.  I colored my blooms with Copics and adhered the sparkly fluff with some clear craft glue.
I love to make inspirational cards just as much as I love making specific occasion cards.  I went with inspirational today, which was easy to do using these sets.  My sentiment begins with the pink flag on the front of my card, and finishes on the inside.
I got a little patterned-paper-happy on this card, but I love the visual interest it creates on all of my layers.  I did a little bold stitching with some craft thread, added my signature bow, and a pretty, yet subdued butterfly.  There really wasn’t much more to it other than printing my patterned paper!

Hope you found a little creative inspiration on your visit today :]  I will see you back here next Monday with my 5th and final project as OCL’s Artist of the Month!  Have a great week.

HAPPY (early) VALENTINE’S DAY!

Hey there, Tammie here sending a little LUV your way.  Valentine luv, that is!  *grin*  So today I want to share a few Valentine cards and encourage everyone to spend a little extra time finishing the insides of your cards (if you don’t already).  Did you know the inside can be just as fun to design as the outside?

This first card was made with stamps from the new Valentine release called Love in the Air and Spilling over.  Both are awesome sets and coordinate so well together!

Here’s the inside…it’s very simple but adds so much to the overall look of the card!

This next one was made with an older set called Wanted.  I just inked it up for the first time and…OMGosh…I can’t wait to play with it again!

Here’s the inside…love it!

The last card I’m sharing today was made with Granny’s Truffles.  I always have so much fun coloring both Granny and Gramps…they just have so much personality!

And the inside…it’s so easy to carry over a few details from the front to tie everything together!

Well, I guess that’s it for me today.  The whole line of OCL stamps, Sparkly Fluff and Crafty Sparkles are available at Memories of Time.  If you use the code “checkusout“, you will receive a 20% discount on your entire purchase.  Pretty awesome, right?  If you would like details on any of the cards I’ve posted (including Copic colors), please visit my blog by clicking on the pictures.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful (early) Valentine’s Day!

Achoo! Bless you…

Happy Monday, OCL friends!  Hope all of you are enjoying this federal holiday in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.  I know I am!  I’m also happy to share my third OCL project as your very honored, Artist of the Month!  This is the time of year for runny noses and head colds, so I thought a little decorated tissue pack would make a cute, yet thoughtful gift for my co-workers who are a little under the weather.  I chose to work with two sets today to make my simple project.  I stamped the “ACHOO!” sentiment from the Say It With Flowers set, because I wanted a simple font that I could stamp repeatedly.  The “Bless you” sentiment, the tissue box and bowl of soup came from the Running Sick set.I dyed my doily to match my patterned paper (check out my blog tomorrow for more info on how I dyed the doily), I cut my label and white decorative square with my Cricut and layered with dimensional tape.  I added white satin ribbon and a prima to finish off my project. This is such a fun set for this time of year!  You could make a ton of cute little gifts not only with tissue packs, but with soup, anti-bacterial hand sanitizers, cough drops, etc.  The sky is the limit!!

Hope you enjoyed my fun little project!  I’ll see you here again next monday :]

Thank You

We all need Thank You cards, right? And what better way to say thank you than with a stamped card! Today I am showing you a few thank you cards all different kinds of occasions.

Need a baby thank you card? Or want to make thank you cards for the mom-to-be as your gift? Here is a cute card using Bundle of Joy and some sparkly fluff on the heart of the onesie.

Want to give your handy man a thank you card? How about using Nailed it to make him a fun card.

Just need a general thank you card? Well then try Notes of Love with a little cutting out of the box.

Have that special girlfriend you just want to send a thank you note to just for being your friend?  Fairy Dust is a Must is the perfect set for that. (notice the sparkly fluff on her dress?)

All stamps can be found in the OCL store HERE.

love YOU <3

Happy Monday, OCL friends! I’m back to share another project I made with another fabulous OCL stamp set! I LOVE LOVE LOVE, the Love Notes set, and couldn’t wait to get inky with it! I didn’t want to use the expected, traditional “lovey dovey” colors, and I really wanted to focus on the fab background stamp with the script layered on top somehow. I stamped the base with a similar blue ink as the paper color, and embossed the script in white. I took a coral Copic and highlighted the last word, “love” to form the first part of my sentiment.
I stamped the second part of my sentiment, “YOU”, on a cute tag secured to my bloom. I tend to be very girly when I create, which came in handy with my “love YOU” card.  I layered some frilly trim and pretty aqua ribbon under my bloom, and added some frames popped up on dimensionals around my script.  I DID distress the interior frame a little, but I kept the rest pretty clean (another area of my comfort zone).  All in all this card was really pretty simple.  I have a TON of ideas for this stamp set, so don’t be surprised if you see yet another card using it on one of my five Mondays this month ;]

Hope you find a smidge of inspiration in my humble little card.  OCL also has a ton of other love themed sets, that are sure to get your creative wheels turning just in time for Valentine’s Day!  So many possibilities…

See you again next week!  Same time, same place :]
