Our Craft Lounge is Vintage too!

Good Wednesday morning, everyone!

Broni here, and I’m hosting the blog post today!  I’d like to focus on all the gorgeous vintage images that Our Craft Lounge offers.  Have you taken a look around the Vintage section of  “The Lounge”?  Beautiful, I tell you!  You can find some of my most favorite images there!

For instance, how about the Vintage Roses stamp set?  Here’s a card made by the wildly talented Deb Felts for your viewing pleasure:

Here’s a beautiful card by Joy Stagg, using the Years Gone By stamp set:

Here are a couple of wonderful cards using vintage/rustic stamp sets:

The Art of Nature – by Michelle Pearson

and Sunflower Seeds – by Amber Hillman

I think I probably love Vintage Traveler best of all!  Here are 3 cards by Kendra Wietstock, Cambria Turnbow and myself using this fantastic set:

Aren’t all of these images beautiful?  I know Our Craft Lounge is known for it’s awesomely cute and sometimes funny images, but the Vintage section is certainly a fabulous one to behold as well!

Thanks so much for visiting with us today!  I hope you’ll come back soon and often!

May Artist of the Month – Week 2

Good morning everyone!!  Joan here for week 2 as May Artist of the Month. My sister has been visiting this week so we have been trying to stay out of trouble!!!  I hope you had a great Mother’s Day….my DH grilled steaks for us yesterday and they just melted in our mouth!! Sure wish he did that every day…LOL!!! Anyway….

My card today features  the Tree-ific Trees set ….this is one of my favorite OCL stamps!!  The trees were all paper pieced with Bo Bunny Garden Girl and Basic Grey Out of Print papers.

The circles on the top tree were cut out twice and popped up with foam dots.

I had a scrap of sky paper left in my stash but I don’t know the name of the company. The grassy hills were sewn together and a grass die was used for the grass.

The banner for the second half of the sentiment was curled a little with my fingers to achieve the wavy look. I know I will be using this set often…the trees are sooo cute and I just love the fun sentiment!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by …..I’ll be back next Monday with another project!! Until then, have a super fabulous week!!!

Gramps!

It’s no secret that I love Granny, but I’m here today with some Gramps cards!  You might think that the recent NFL draft is what prompted this card, or maybe Father’s Day which is a month away, but that isn’t the case!  This card is for 11 year old Alexis, an avid Jaguars fan who has Neurofibromatosis.  I learned of her illness through a friend who regularly sends prayer requests via email, and realized after reading her story that she is the daughter of a waiter who regularly serves us when we go to one of our favorite local restaurants.  I hope a hand-made card will cheer her up!

Gramps, in his easy chair, is a perfect stamp to use for making a scene, and it is really fun to see the various settings and team colors our design team has crafted for him!   #1 Sports Fan is one of our crafty cling rubber singles, which also includes three smaller accent images:  a football, baseball, and basketball.

Here’s a Badgers fan by Lori Tecler!  I love the wood floor and the bold red against the pale blue!

This one using the spotlight technique is also by Lori!

Look how gorgeous even Gramps can look when he is colored fabulously by Broni!

Tammie E’s card just tickles me, because Gramps has Granny’s picture next to his favorite team banner!  Gotta love it!  Look at all that amazing shading, too!

Thanks for visiting!  Happy stamping!

May Artist of the Month

Good morning everyone!!  Joan Ervin here and I’m thrilled to tell you that I have been asked to be the May Artist of the Month…Whoohoo!!!!!  How exciting to be here on the Our Craft Lounge blog posting for you today!!! Since Saturday was National Scrapbooking Day and OCL’s Friday challenge was to make a page or card with a picture on it, I decided to create a scrapbook page.

The balloons and sentiments from Our Craft Lounge’s Love in the Air set were used along with papers, stickers, and a banner from Echo Park’s Springtime paper collection. The balloons were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics, cutout, and popped up with foam dots. Flowers with pearl centers and a leaf diecut finish it off.

The picture is of my sweet friend Patsy and her youngest grandson, Ean.  I am going to surprise her with this page as a gift for Mother’s Day…hope she likes it!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Our Craft Lounge’s Love in the Air
Papers: Prism Candle Glow Light, Prism Frosted Teal, Echo Park Springtime
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, So Saffron, Melon Mambo, Pool Party
Accessories: Doilies, Copics, Flowers, Pearls, Die-namics Leaf Die, EK Success Scalloped Border Punch

April Artist of the Month–Week 5

Hi Friends! Happy Monday to you! Cheryl here, one last time. I’ve certainly been loving my Monday’s this past month, but sadly, this is Week 5 of the April Artist of the Month series, which means it’s my last week here. :(  And, here’s my final AOM card:

To make this card, I sponged the edges of all the pieces with black Distress Ink and matted them on black cs. On the bg layer, I stamped a flourish and a dot pattern from the In Flight stamp set.

I absolutely love all the stamps in the In Flight stamp set, but this is my favorite one. All those curlicues and ruffly wings feel so feminine. I stamped the butterfly on the Labels One panel, and again on another piece of white cs. I colored both butterflies, then fussy cut the extra one and glued the body of it to the other butterfly on the Labels One panel. I used black rhinestones for the head and antennae.

Here’s the inside:

I used more of the black and white ribbon on the inside of the card and stamped another pretty flourish from the In Flight stamp set at the bottom.

Well, I have thoroughly enjoyed my Mondays here, and I hope you have, too. Thanks, again, Kendra, Cami, and the entire Our Craft Lounge DT, for letting me join you this month. It was truly a fantastic experience!

~Hugs,

Stamps: In Flight (Our Craft Lounge)

Paper: Out of Print (Basic Grey)

Ink: Distress Ink; Memento; Copics

Dies: Labels One (Spellbinders)

Accessories: Rhinestones; ribbon (Taylored Expressions); flower (Recollections)

Size: A2 (4.25″ x 5.5″)

Pick a Posy

Hi there!
Today I am sharing some of my favorite floral stamps from Our Craft Lounge.  I think flowers are wonderful because you can use them for any occasion.
I used Thankful Flourishes for this card.  I saw this layout while surfing the web a week or so ago and I just love it.  The flower was colored with Copic markers and the leaves were  watercolored with Tombow markers.  See our pens can play nice together.  :)
For this card I used the cute little flower border and birthday sentiment from Tweet Thang.  The flowers were colored with Copics.
This card is a recent favorite of mine.   I used stamps from the Pretty Petals and Big Birthday Wishes sets. I colored this card with my Tombow Irojiten Colored Pencils and a wee bit of Gamsol.
For this last card, I didn’t use a floral set, but I wanted to show you how nicely the Big Birthday Wishes set works when paired with a pretty flower.  Funny thing about this card is that I made it for our very own Debbie Corbari’s birthday and it is still riding around in my car waiting to be mailed.  I am the worst when it comes to mailing things.  Heck, she may get it in time for her birthday next year.  :)
Thanks for visiting us today, we really appreciate each and every visit.
